“INTEGRATIVE, INNOVATIVE, INFILL: ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN COMPETITION”
BHP Community Land Trust, DBA South Florida Community Land Trust (South Florida CLT), is requesting proposals from firms interested in participating in an architectural design competition. The competition is for architectural plans developed within an integrative design process for new construction single-family homes. South Florida CLT’s objective is to meet the highest standards of sustainable, affordable, cost-effective development on infill lots. Home designs should address the livability and adaptability of the units, their energy efficiency and sustainability, the way they weave together the neighborhood, and how the homes enhance quality of life, social cohesion, and long-term viability within the community.
The winning team will be awarded $50,000 for submission of construction documents developed within an integrative design process as defined in the design brief. In addition, winning designs will be recognized widely at South Florida CLT events and by local and national partner organizations.
In the event that federal or other grant funds are utilized, South Florida CLT shall comply with all applicable federal, state, local and organizational guidelines and requirements.
The Design Brief and RFP details are available to view and download at https://goo.gl/2DkOQo.
The deadline for submissions is June 15, 2016 by 5pm.
