When there are so many powerful computer visualization and drafting programs available, why do architects still draw by hand? What intelligence does the body bring to paper? And what richness do pen and ink bring to a design?
Single-Handedly, a forthcoming book from Princeton Architectural Press, looks closely to find out more, as it celebrates hand drawings by practicing architects worldwide.
If you would like to be considered for inclusion, please complete this online submission form. The deadline for submissions is Friday, October 27, 2017, 11:59 p.m.
Please limit your submissions to drawings that are solely produced by hand; no computer-generated imagery will be accepted.
Questions? Please contact Nalina Moses, author of Single-Handedly.

silly question... how do you submit online without digitizing?Nalina Moses · Oct 08, 17 7:46 PM
Hi, ubu loca. Not a silly question. It's ironic, but because of the remote review process we'll look at scans/photos of drawings. And, for publishing, we'll also use digital files. But we're looking for original physical drawings that were completely entirely by hand (pen, pencil, ink, collage, charcoal, watercolor, pastel, etc.) and are not computer-generated or computer-manipulated. Thanks, and hope you will submit your work! NalinaDouglas Wittnebel · Oct 12, 17 2:18 AM
My drawings and illustrations are a mix of analog explorations on various paper surfaces and digital drawings created with the stylus tool on digital tablets like the iPad.Nalina Moses · Oct 14, 17 6:05 PM

Hello Nalina,I've submitted my online drawings portfolio via the submission form. When will we know the results? I mean, if we are eligible for the book or not.
Best regards.
