This annual Fellowship in memory of the late Dr Giles Worsley is jointly awarded by the British School at Rome (BRS) and the RIBA. It is awarded to an architect or architectural historian, to spend three months (October to December) at the BSR studying an architectural topic of their choice.
The Fellowship's aim is to encourage architects and architectural historians to experience the reality of influential Italian buildings and carry out research in and around the city while benefiting from the collegiate life of the BSR. Each Fellow will be required to deliver a public presentation to a general audience on their return.
Applicants must have British nationality or have been living and studying in the UK for at least the last three years. Ideally, applicants should have recently completed a postgraduate qualification.
The deadline is 14 February 2018. Applicants should send the BSR a completed application form, a curriculum vitae, a statement indicating the subject of their proposal and their suitability for the Fellowship.
Visit BSR for further information (including current eligibility criteria) and an application form.
