The mission of the Michael Kalil Endowment for Smart Design is twofold: to foster the understanding of the design intersections between nature and technology and to support a heightened sense of responsibility for increasing the sustainability of built environments.
One $5000 Fellowship Project Grant is available annually to Scholars and Practitioners, inside or outside of The New School University:
This year proposals that address the recent events of Hurricane Sandy, global warming and the impact on the constructed environment are especially encouraged.
The Scholar/Practitioner Grant supports a current faculty member or group of faculty members from any New School division; or an outside scholar/practitioner from within any design field.
Application Deadline: January 15, 2013
Application Information Available at: http://sce.parsons.edu/application/
Proposals will be blind, without indication of the author on or in the Proposal itself.
