reSITE, in cooperation with Vodafone, the Architectural Institute in Prague (ARCHIP) and Balmond Studio are proud to announce dPAV: 2.5 Days in Prague workshop competition.
This is an open call, three-stage international design competition and workshop for architects, artists, engineers, innovators, scientists and related disciplines to imagine the future mobile event pavilion.
Stage one will commence with an Open Call - Request for Qualifications. 20-25 individuals will be selected for Stage Two: a 2.5 day workshop competition in Prague, by Balmond Studio and Cecil Balmond. One team will be selected for Stage Three: the construction of a temporary, movable pavilion to be used for conferences and festivals about urbanism in Central and Eastern Europe.
Under the leadership of research based practice Balmond Studio (London), the workshop competition will be a 2.5 Day intensive and collaborative investigation for the chance to design the future reSITE pavilion which will be used in urban design festivals around Central and Eastern Europe. A special Keynote Lecture by renowned structural designer and artist Cecil Balmond will also be presented to all participants.
The workshop will take place at the Architectural Institute in Prague (Františka Křížka 1, 170 00 Prague 7, Czech Republic) during the second annual reSITE festival from 21-23 June 2013. The competition workshop will be held in English.

The workshop will take place during reSITE Festival from 21-23 June 2013 in Prague. Selected participants will gather to create a concept design of the future reSITE pavilion and will be judged by an international jury composed of individuals such as Maria Aiolova (Co-Founder, Terreform ONE) and David Cerny (Internationally renown artist). The pavilion shall be a physical manifestation of what reSITE stands for including the virtues of collaboration, transparency, sustainability, innovation, openness, and international discourse on design. It will also become an internationally recognized device for reSITE Festival in the cities of Central and Eastern Europe.
The reSITE dPAV competition and workshop is open and interdisciplinary – individuals and teams in architecture, landscape architecture, engineering, sociology, geography, social science, marketing, finance, science, business, technology and IT, event planning and anyone interested in cities, architecture and urban design.
