GRAY Magazine, the Pacific Northwest’s leading design publication, is excited to announce that tickets are now on sale for the 2018 GRAY Awards—the region’s first cross-disciplinary, regionally focused design awards program. GRAY has selected the BLOCK Project, a non-profit program started by architects and dedicated to alleviating homelessness in Seattle, as its charitable partner for the second year in a row to receive 50% of the GRAY Awards Party ticket proceeds.
Visit grayawards.com to purchase tickets today.
Out of more than 300 submissions, 50 finalists were selected across eleven categories. Designers and manufacturers were invited to submit products and projects across eleven categories, including “Design for Good” category, which spotlights design that is making a difference environmentally or socially. An esteemed panel of international design stars—including Jaime Hayon, Elaine Molinar (Snøhetta), David and Peter Walker, Ken Fulk, the team of AvroKO, and Adam Lippes, cast their eye towards the Pacific Northwest.
GRAY Award winners will be revealed November 29, 2018 in a buzzy, much-anticipated party at the prestigious event space, The Sanctuary Seattle, designed by Philippe Starck and ZGF Architects. Breaking all the rules of traditional awards programming, GRAY will surprise attendees with a splashy big reveal. Tickets go on sale October 19. Winners will receive a custom-designed contemporary glass art trophy, handcrafted exclusively for the GRAY Awards by John Hogan, the critically acclaimed Seattle-based artist and product designer. Plus media partner, v2com, will distribute one press kit for each winner to its international database of journalists.
