On behalf of the Flanders Architecture Institute I am pleased to invite you to Encounters in Optimism: Utopia in a Finite World, an interactive programme of lectures, debates and workshops on the utopian dimension of architecture in times of turbulence and finitude.
Together with the British Council, the Deutsches Architekturmuseum and the Creative Industries Fund NL, the Flanders Architecture Institute has set up a three days programme:
Thursday August 25
- 1.00 - 2.45 pm: debat / Imagining the Future? Keynote debate between Darran Anderson (author of Imaginary Cities) and Adrien Verschuere (Baukunst) about the role of human imagination in the creation of our world. German pavilion, Giardini, Biennale di Venezia
- Throughout the day: vernissage pop-up exhibition / Utopia in a Finite Wolrd Temporary exhibition with installations, performances and interventions as the result of a student workshop Giardini, Biennale di Venezia
Friday August 26
