As New York contemplates a major reform in its Fair Share policy and areas are being rezoned to unlock more affordable housing, London is working towards Sadiq’s a City for All Londoners. But change is happening rapidly and dramatically - how can we ensure healthy densification with the right distribution of community infrastructure? How do we connect new and existing communities with the pace of change?
Leading city experts will join New York’s Deputy Mayor for housing and economic development, Alicia Glen and London’s Jules Pipe, Deputy Mayor for planning, regeneration and skills, for a discussion on the future of London and New York as both cities grapple with creating a fair and equitable city in the face of massive exponential growth.
This event is number eleven in the NYLON series, a key part of our International Dialogues programme. In association with with the Centre for Architecture and Urban Design Forum in New York, this live video seminar taking place simultaneously in both cities brings together speakers and audiences to foster cross-city dialogue and learning between London and New York.
