L. Michael Goldsmith Lecture
Weiss/Manfredi's enduring interest in an expanded territory for architecture, freed from the constraints of disciplinary boundaries, informs the trajectory of their practice. Their multidisciplinary work focuses on creating more productive connections between architecture, landscape, infrastructure, and art. During the L. Michael Goldsmith Lecture at AAP NYC, cofounders Marion Weiss and Michael Manfredi (M.Arch. '80) will provide an overview of their recent work and introduce a current project, The Bridge, a building on Cornell Tech's groundbreaking new Roosevelt Island campus. As the first colocation center on the campus, this building defines a new programmatic typology that fuses entrepreneurial and academic ambitions.
