Committees plan our cities and architects shape our buildings, but who helps humans navigate their way through this manufactured environment? One could argue that successful architecture is self-explanatory; so are public signage and design elements aimed directly at those using the space really that important? Joining the discussion are Sarah Manning of wayfinding studio Spaceagency, designer Morag Myerscough and Oliver Goodhall, co-founder of We Made That, who will be considering what makes great public design – clarity, simplicity, imagination or innovation?
