Connecting… First Thursday opening reception at Chambers@916 on Thursday, November 1, 2012. In November and December 2012, Chambers@916 presents the second annual Connecting…, a group show including work by Joe Bartholomew, Lisa Gronseth, Jim Kazanjian, Allen Maertz, Robin Milliken, Jim Pustorino, and DripDrop Collective. There will be an opening reception on First Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 6-8:30pm. The show will run through December 22, 2012. For Connecting..., curator and director Martha Morgan invited a group of artists to explore the many facets of connection, from the anticipatory space we inhabit as we wait to connect, to the different modes of building connections in the real and virtual worlds. The artists featured in the exhibition approach this subject using a variety of media, including painting, printmaking, digital generative art, and video. DripDrop Collective presents an exhibit of animation, sound composition and live feed collaboration with Zagreb, Croatia as an introduction to PaperPlane Project 2013.
