The series of Community Charrettes will culminate in a national competition of visions for intersections of community and transportation.

This competition of IDEAS represents an unprecedented effort to generate dialogue about the status of and possibilities of the role of public transportation in Columbus with special emphasis on illustrating how multiple transportation modes can work together to provide a complete network that connects citizens with their community.

The anticipated final design solutions will illustrate the many ways transit centers and transfer stations can revitalize communities and spark economic developments.

Competition Open – April to May 2007
Awards – June 2007

The Columbus Re-WIRED website has been updated to include a much better resource manager and some additional documents.

Please check it out. We really feel that this competition is the start of something big here in Ohio's capital city.

i think setting the river on fire might be the
start of something BIG in columbus !!!! wait wait
that was CLEVELAND !!!!

Being snarky here because just like other competitions it's my ideas and then some developer get's the actual work, hires his/her own architect and uses MY ideas or not.

Excite me with a commission stupid AIA.

Happy 150th if we keep giving our work away for free we won't make it to 200
