DawnTown 2008: An architectural ideas competition for a new waterworks building in downtown Miami
Waterworks invites designers, students, architects, landscape

Entrants are directed to redesign an existing infrastructure element at the edge of waterfront Bicentennial Park and the renovated Biscayne Blvd. in Downtown Miami, and transform it into a public icon of the new Downtown. The results of the competition will be announced during Art Basel ‘08 in Miami.

Jury:

- Terry Riley, Director, Miami Art Museum
- Alex Wall, Professor of Urban Design, University of Karlsruhe, Germany
- Loretta Cockrum, CEO, Foram Group
- Cathy Leff, Director, The Wolfsonian-FIU
- Raymond Jungles, Landscape Architect

Considering all the information they have on their website, the list of competition sponsors, and the event that they're hosting on December 7th, that would be quite an elaborate hoax.

Have you tried contacting them, or any of the sponsors to confirm?

yes i have -- three times and also on the phone

i believe the hoax is that they have more
entries than they want so they are
shutting out every one else.

i am not alone i have heard

they keep telling me to e-mail to an address
and i get no response

i am now contacting the

florida attorney general's office
