The competition provides a unique opportunity for future architects to
challenge conventional approaches to design, and to investigate and develop
new concepts for an open and sustainable architecture for the 21st century.
This is an open competition with limited restrictions.
We are asking that individual students, student groups, and studio
instructors forward an e-mail to to indicate their intent
to place an entry in the competition.
Please provide this e-mail before March 1st if you will be joining the
competition.

The competition coincides with the Education for an Open Architecture
Conference, to be held October 19-22, 2008 at Ball State University in
Muncie, Indiana, USA. Competition winners will be exhibited and hosted at the
conference, a forum for international educators, professionals, and
practitioners that will include three days of presentations, workshops, and
