Emirates Glass LEAF Awards

The Emirates Glass LEAF Awards are open to all companies, technologies and individuals that have made an outstanding contribution to the world of architecture, and who continue to set the benchmark for the buildings of tomorrow.

This year’s awards will be presented at a spectacular gala dinner on Thursday 23 October 2008 at the The Dorchester in Central London.

This year’s Emirates Glass LEAF Awards categories are:

Grand Prix Winner*
The LEAF Grand Prix award specifically focuses on the new build projects.

Best Structural Design of the Year*
This award recognises architects that have implemented innovative structural design solutions.

Best Sustainable Development*
This award focuses on innovation relating to the durable and efficient use of materials and energy consumption in providing a sustainable built environment.

Commercial Building of the Year*
The LEAF Commercial Building of the Year award recognises projects that are specifically used for commercial purposes.

International Interior Design Award*
The LEAF International Interior Design of the Year award focuses on interior design for either a new build project or a refurbishment project.

Mixed Use Building of the Year*
The LEAF Mixed Use Building of the Year award recognises projects that combine both residential and commercial functions.

New Innovation of the Year*
This award focuses on how technology has been used in both an innovative and practical manner.

Residential Building of the Year*
The LEAF Residential Building of the Year award recognises projects that are specifically used for residential purposes.

Young Architect**
This award celebrates up-and-coming architects. To qualify, architects must have no more than three years of post qualification experience.

* The completion date for submitted projects must be between January 2007 and June 2008.

** Projects must be completed within three years of qualification.

Closing date for entries is 27 June 2008
