The American Institute of Architects (AIA) and the Academy of Architecture for Health (AAH) are proud to initiate the AIA National Healthcare Design Awards program. Continuing the AIA’s legacy of celebrating outstanding works of contemporary architects, the new awards program showcases the best of healthcare building design and health design-oriented research. Projects should exhibit conceptual strength and solve aesthetic, civic, urban, and social concerns as well as the requisite functional and sustainability concerns of a healthcare facility. The AIA/AAH will recognize the firms for their contribution to the healthcare environment.
