Living in Art Showcase at THE HOLLYWOOD

THE HOLLYWOOD Condos has partnered with D2 Art to host the first Living in Art event for 2012 at the modern artfully designed residences, which San Diego-based Pacifica Real Estate Services recently opened for sales. THE HOLLYWOOD has a long history of involvement with the arts, including a 2008 Underground Art event in conjunction with Angeleno Magazine during which renowned graffiti artists like Mr. Brainwash, Man One, and Retna created murals in the subterranean parking structure. The Living in Art showcase will feature pieces by four distinct Los Angeles-based artists handpicked by D2 Art: Tony Brown, Guy Armstrong Boston Ellis, Claudia Morales McCain and HK Zamani. In January, each of the artists were given their own unoccupied and for-sale unit at The HOLLYWOOD Condos to use as a studio to create a piece of artwork inspired by the city of Hollywood, the building and the space itself. The artists’ work will be revealed at a celebratory event at The HOLLYWOOD Condos in early February. The works will be on display in four units currently for sale, including two of the building’s two-story penthouses. Media is invited to visit and view any works by appointment.
