#BlackLivesMatter, DREAMers and More: New York Activism Today | May 3, recommended by Nicholas Korody
The Museum of the City of New York recently opened an exhibit on the history of activism in the city since the 17th century. Alongside the artifacts, photos, and other ephemera, the exhibit is accompanied by impressive programming. One of their first, “#BlackLivesMatter, DREAMers and More: New York Activism Today”, should be an informative conversation on the status of these movements right now as they continue to fight for racial justice as well as immigrants' and workers' rights.

This fancy exhibition showcases how designers are reconciling the handmade (manus) and the machine-made (machina) in producing haute couture and avant-garde ready-to-wear.
