We could've sworn on Frank Lloyd Wright's ghost that October had barely started, and yet, Halloween is here. Wondering where other design-inclined folks are gathering in the Greater L.A. area? Bustler has compiled a snappy list of noteworthy happenings around town that are worth checking out.
Check back regularly at the start of the week to stay up to date. Here are the Bustler editorial team's latest recommendations for Los Angeles.
Mia Lehrer: "Recalibrating The Los Angeles River" | October 31, recommended by Amelia Taylor-Hochberg
As a key figure in the River's 2007 master plan, Mia Lehrer was working on revitalization efforts long before Frank Gehry became involved. Her perspective on the River and its impact on LA's landscape urbanism is invaluable, making her talk at USC a must-do for anyone interested in the river.

SCI-Arc Lecture: Kai-Uwe Bergmann | November 2, recommended by Alexander Walter
SCI-Arc welcomes to the lecture podium the BIG man, who rather quietly oversees the office's projects in currently 20 different countries as well as the firm's communications without attracting much of the media attention that the name-lending head of the company, Bjarke Ingels, enjoys. Hear what Kai-Uwe Bergmann has to say at the Keck Lecture Hall on Wednesday.

Pop for the People: Roy Lichtenstein in L.A. | Open now until March 12, recommended by Justine Testado
Make the trip to the Skirball to check out all things Roy Lichtenstein in this current exhibition, from the artist's iconic prints to his collaborations with Gemini G.E.L co-founders Stanley Grinstein and Sidney Felsen. Also, step into an immersive installation of Lichtenstein's rendition of “Bedroom at Arles” by Vincent van Gogh.
