Berlin / Los Angeles: Space for Music | Opening on April 25
“In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the sister-city partnership between Berlin and Los Angeles, this Getty Center exhibition explores two iconic buildings: the Berlin Philharmonic (1963) designed by Hans Scharoun, and the Walt Disney Concert Hall (2003) in Los Angeles, designed by Frank Gehry. It demonstrates how both buildings were pivotal in fostering a strong resonance between architecture and the city.”
