With the theme, Blueprint for Better, the 2017 I Look Up Film Challenge looked to architects and filmmakers to collaborate in the creation of films that highlight projects helping to change communities for the better.
“Architects and filmmakers have come together to create stories about how architecture can transform communities,” said AIA President Thomas Vonier. “Now the public has to help us choose the entry that tells a great story... not just about building, but about building for better.”
The AIA invites the public to cast their vote to choose the winner of the People’s Choice Award for the third annual I Look Up Film Challenge. The winner will be announced on November 1 and receive $2,500, exclusive screening at the Architecture & Design Film Festival in New York City, plus recognition and distribution on AIA channels.
More than 60 films were submitted and qualified, and it is now up to the public to choose a winner. Voting is open until October 6 at ilookup.org. Use the hashtag #ilookup to join the conversation.
The Grand Prize Winner will be announced on November 9, and the Public Choice Award Winner on October 16.
