Amsterdam Light Festival - Call for Concepts 2018-2019

The Amsterdam Light Festival invites creators from around the world—from artists to designers, engineers to architects, and professionals to students—to submit a light artwork concept for the seventh edition of the festival, taking place from November 29, 2018 till January 20, 2019. An international jury, together with the festival’s curatorial team, will review the concepts and select approximately 35 artists to create an artwork. For its 2018–19 edition, Amsterdam Light Festival is looking for creative interpretations of the theme The Medium is the Message.
2018 BIM Contest
Registration deadline: Sunday, February 4, 2018
Submission deadline: Saturday, March 17, 2018
The third edition of the international BIM Contest challenges entrants to design a grammar school for 500 students in the city of Suresnes. Applicants should design the digital model including one or more buildings that will be located within an existing cluster.
Energy Overlays: Land Art Generator Initiative 2018 Melbourne, Australia
Register/Submit Deadline: Sunday, May 6, 2018
LAGI 2018 is free and open to anyone around the world, and invites you to design a large-scale and site-specific public art installation that generates clean energy for an exciting site in Melbourne by incorporating renewable energy technology as the primary media for the art. The theme of the LAGI 2018 competition is "Energy Overlays—the superimposition of energy and art onto an emerging master plan for urban regeneration."

Fairy Tales 2018

The deadline to register and submit your Fairy Tales 2018 entries is coming up soon! Fairy Tales is open to all, and invites architects, designers, writers, artists, engineers, illustrators, students and creatives to submit their own unique architectural fairy tales. A successful entry will craft a text narrative, along with 5 images, in the most spectacular way possible.
