Charleston East Plaza Artworks - Artist Call #2 of 3

Burning Man Project is inviting artists for a second time to create artwork for the City of Mountain View's Charleston East public plaza — the site of the city's new public park and Google’s new Charleston East campus. The call is open to artists, artist teams, community groups working with designers, architects, landscape architects, or place-keeping experts who are interested in creating an exterior art installation that serves as an activation point for the Charleston East plaza site, for the Mountain View community, and for the Google campus.

School in the Marshes
Registration Deadline: Saturday, Aug 25, 2018
Submission Deadline: Tuesday, Aug 28, 2018
Participants are asked to design a primary school in the long-forgotten area of the Iraqi marshes, taking into account the limitations of the area and the ecological impact of construction on nature and the fauna of the marshes. The design is for a 6-class primary school serving the nearby villages with all the amenities of a modern school.

PACKit - Packaging made sensible

With e-commerce on the rise, millions of packages are being sent around the world, and the wasted materials from the packages have environmental consequences. Can packaging be more lean/smart? Can it be reusable or have different applications? Can discarded/used packaging find its way back into the system/eco-system seamlessly? These are some of the main questions entrants must consider in FunkT's PACKit competition.

IsArch Awards for Architecture Students, 9th edition
Register/Submit Deadline: Monday, Oct 15, 2018
Now in its 9th edition, the IsArch Awards aims to provide a platform for architecture students to contribute and debate architectural ideas and solutions with each other, within the framework of their university studies. This year's jury include Eva Franch i Gilabert, Danny Duong from SO – IL, Gonzalo Herrero Delicado of the Royal Academy of Arts, architect Anna Merci, and architectural designer, writer and editor James Taylor Foster.
