The City of Dreams 2019 Pavilion Design Competition

FIGMENT has teamed with the Emerging New York Architects Committee (ENYA) of the AIANY and SEAoNY to host a competition to design and construct an architectural pavilion in Lighthouse Park on Roosevelt Island, the competition's first City of Dreams pavilion on the island. Our theme for the City of Dreams pavilion points toward the future. If we imagine a future New York City where anything is possible, what would it look like?

MOVEMENT

Using the new Green Line Light Rail Transit (LRT) project as a platform for new, provocative ideas, MOVEMENT is an open call to architects, artists, designers, engineers, planners and students to rethink the present and future of transportation in Calgary. With awards totalling over $15,000 CAD, including a top prize and seven category awards, this call for ideas seeks multi-disciplinary approaches to the challenge of urban movement.

Winter Stations

Winter Stations 2019 is now embarking on its fifth year, and the theme is Migration. Winter Stations 2019 brings public art installations to The Beaches for an exhibition celebrating Toronto’s winter waterfront landscape. This international design competition will include up to six lifeguard stands.

The biennial Rudy Bruner Award for Urban Excellence (RBA) celebrates transformative urban places distinguished by their economic and social contributions to our nation’s cities.
