Microlibraries in the Everywhere Part II: Exhibition Opening and Discussion | April 18-ongoing, recommended by Amelia-Taylor Hochberg
As more and more information is accessed in the digital realm, print publications — and the institutions that house them — are undergoing a necessary reformation. The exhibit “Microlibraries in the Everywhere” questions how the current media landscape, and status of libraries, influences control and access to information, and how spaces can help reinforce, or question, these new realities. Toward the end of this week, the exhibition will be accompanied by ten microlibraries installed throughout the USC campus.

Design for Good LA | April 21, recommended by Alexis Petrunia
Design for Good LA is a movement that helps to encourage the value of design thinking by solving real problems for local non-profit organizations. In a two-hour workshop led by Alisa Olinova and Noah Goldberg-Jaffe of verynice, participants will be challenged to negotiate design strategies for positive social change in LosAngeles. It’s a perfect opportunity for attendees to network, and to build their practice as well as their visibility.
