Bustler has compiled a snappy list of thought-provoking lectures, upcoming exhibitions as well as ongoing ones you might have not heard about yet, and other noteworthy happenings around town that are not to be missed.

MEDIAN | Opening on July 14, recommended by Amelia Taylor-Hochberg
Presented by LA Forum, MEDIAN is an immersive and captivating experience that recasts one of LA's most sacred communions–driving. Created by LA-based Collective Artist Collective, the installation projects videos on the gallery walls from the perspective of someone on (fittingly) a road median. Take an off-road moment on the road at WUHO gallery for MEDIAN's opening on July 14.

Pasadena Heritage Colorado Street Bridge Party | July 16, recommended by Nicholas Korody
According to the event organizers, the Colorado Street Bridge is "one of the most beautiful bridges in the world." Hyperbolic for sure – but also maybe true. Head over to Pasadena for a night of food, drinks, and live music atop the historic bridge.

Sinziana Velicescu: On The Periphery & Beyond | Open now until July 29, recommended by Alexander Walter
The AIA|LA Gallery on Wilshire Boulevard presents an abstract view of the Los Angeles hidden in plain sight: photographer Sinziana Velicescu masterfully records candid moments of the architectural elements that, combined as a whole, shape the Southern Californian landscape. On The Periphery & Beyond captures "fragments of a cityscape’s lifetime that are most often overlooked by an entire population concerned solely with reaching a destination." A minimalistic love letter to an invisible hypervisual city.
