Floating Dreams by Ik-Joong Kang | 1-30 September
Ik-Joong Kang, a celebrated multi-media artist from South Korea, has created a 3-storey high installation which is situated in the river Thames, just by the Millennium Bridge.
The piece is constructed from 500 illustrations, which are illuminated from within the structure. Kang’s intention is to memorialise the millions of displaced people who were divided and affected during the Korean war. These drawings depict happier memories; those who were displaced have been asked to draw their hometowns, and this is what is floating in the Thames - their memories, and dreams.

Sunken Cities: Egypt’s Lost Worlds | Open now until 27 November
Lost cities under the ocean are something of legends, so it is always fascinating to see the reality of one of these ‘fairytale’ settings.
The lost cities of Thonis-Heracleion and Canopus lay at the mouth of the Nile, under the Mediterranean sea. The discovery of these cities has radically developed our understanding relationships between ancient Egypt and Greek civilisations. Objects in this exhibition have been under the sea for over a thousand year, preserving them, and giving us an incredible insight into the past.
