i Cities 2012: International Forum on Innovative Planning Education and Studio Exhibition

Call for Posters

Due to the impacts from climate change and globalization, cities and regions are facing the pressing issues of natural disasters, economic competitions and the diminishing of cultural identities. Such context has challenged conventional planning methods, while more creative thinking is required to reflect the rapid changing environment and provide sustainable solutions tailored for each locality.

Studios are the core of planning education as well as the laboratories where creativities are flourishing. This event is an invitation to planning studio projects worldwide to demonstrate the planning issues under different geographic and cultural context and the innovative solutions to these challenges. The exhibition provides the platform for learning, exploring and dialogue to stimulate continuous development of creative planning strategies and practices. An "iCities award certificate" will be given to projects participated in the event.
