Three local organizations in Raleigh, NC are excited to announce their first annual competition focusing on reuse materials: Habitat for Humanity of Wake County, Architecture for Humanity Raleigh, and AIA Triangle Young Architects Forum.
The ReSpace Competition is an effort to raise awareness of reuse materials while showcasing creative and successful small space designs inspired by their use. It involves designing a small, unique, and transportable structure that highlights reuse materials at its core, all while helping out your local Habitat for Humanity ReStore!
We have up to $3000 to give away to five finalists, with a GRAND finalist chosen from these five to receive additional awards. The grand finalist will also have their design constructed during a blitz build by our very own Habitat for Humanity Deconstruction Team. The final product will be auctioned off, with proceeds benefiting the Habitat for Humanity of Wake County.
Check out the competition website www.respace.org and register by June 15, 2012 to participate! We welcome individual and team submissions - we look forward to seeing your thoughtful and creative designs!
