Timeless furniture is not only functional, but also expressive. We believe furniture should be well-designed and equipped to deal with the needs of consumers as well as being a means of stating one’s style and attitude toward living. We are looking for fresh, bold statements about contemporary living and luxury manifested through upholstered furniture.

For over 40 years, Weiman/Preview has been a leader in contemporary upholstered furniture, designing sofas, sectionals and chairs that have always captured the imagination and eye of the fashion forward culture. We are known for our curvaceous and sculptural silhouettes that imply movement, organic and anamorphic shapes that take on a life of their own. We now invite you to bring your ideas on what the next wave of contemporary, organic furniture can and will be.

Designs submitted can range from single chairs to sofas and sectionals. All items should be fully upholstered with only minor details or legs to be manufactured out of other materials.

All winners will be contacted via e-mail. Winning entries will receive recognition by January 30, 2008. The competition will result in an online exhibit as well as the introduction of the winning design(s) at the April 2008 High Point Furniture Market. All items will be part of the nationally distributed Weiman/Preview line. Winners will receive a full scale prototype of their design.

Retail value of prize will vary dependent upon submission. All decisions regarding the contest and its logistics are at the discretion of Weiman/Preview and Interlude Home. Weiman reserves the right to change the contest rules or prizes at any time. Limit one entry per person. By submitting your artwork or other material to us, you give us the right to publicly release, display, transmit, distribute, copy and exhibit your work as our property. By acceptance of any prize winners release Weiman/Preview, its directors, agents and employees from any claims of liability including injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising directly or indirectly from the prize or participation in the contest. Contest is void where prohibited, taxed or otherwise restricted by law.

Designs should be submitted as high resolution JPG, TIF, or PDF files (300dpi), maximum size 11 X 17.  Up to 3 sheets will be accepted per entry.
