image

Michael Kalil (1944-1991)

The mission of the Michael Kalil Endowment for Smart Design is twofold: to foster the understanding of the design intersections between nature and technology and to support a heightened sense of responsibility for increasing the sustainability of built environments.

One $5000 Fellowship Project Grant is available annually to Scholars and Practitioners, inside or outside of The New School University:

This year proposals that address the recent events of Hurricane Sandy, global warming and the impact on the constructed environment are especially encouraged.

Application Deadline: January 15, 2013
