TRANSFORM Your PRACTICE
With a doctoral degree for practicing, mid-career professionals who want to leverage their expertise in a specific topic area into an innovation with real-world impact.
The School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape offers Canada's first online post-professional, design-based doctoral degree. The Doctor of Design (DDes) is a unique three-year program that enables mid-career architects, landscape architects and planners to pursue an applied doctoral research project while remaining fully engaged in their professional practice.
Doctor of Design
Ready to reframe your practice with a Doctor of Design degree? The many challenges facing 21st century cities create opportunities for venturous design professionals to rethink the status quo ways that buildings, communities and landscapes are designed, built and operated. The DDes program helps practitioners identify and develop these innovations through a research framework that makes ideas 'project-ready' for integration into practice.
Curious if the DDes is right for you?
Are you interested in pursuing a doctoral research project while remaining fully engaged in your professional practice? Join us for an Info Session on December 3 at 8am MST and find out if the DDes should be your next career move.
Can't attend the Info Session? Schedule a personal consultation with SAPL dean John Brown.
