ADVANCING SUSTAINABILITY – BUSINESS + DESIGN SYMPOSIUM

Sunday, Oct 30, 201112:30 AMEDT

7500 N Glenoaks Blvd. Burbank, CA 91510 Burbank, CA | 7500 N Glenoaks Blvd. Burbank, CA 91510 Burbank, CA

This year’s symposium will focus on sustainability within the scope of business and design. The metropolitan area of Los Angeles is facing many environmental, infrastructural and socio-economical challenges in the 21st century. In order to address these, different sustainable concepts and technologies are being developed and successfully implemented. Despite the existence of such solutions, the process of rethinking the world requires time and persistence. Businesses have been forerunners in implementing sustainable concepts and understanding opportunities. As a result, the energy savings and material efficiency of such companies has become exceedingly competitive in the globalized world. Today, we see sustainable concepts finding their place in our everyday life through the products we use. The demand for sustainable design is on the rise. Students, alumni as well as professionals and locals are invited to meet and listen to a variety of speeches from architects, designers, CEOs and managers. Breaks and lunchtime will allow the attendees to network as well as continue their discussions. Parking will be available in main campus lots. Registration is recommended for lunch accommodations. Free to the public.
