#workinprogress #LL47 @storefrontnyc
Storefront for Art and Architecture becomes a Work in Progress.
As one more site that is affected by New York City's current construction boom a green construction fence encloses Storefront for Art and Architecture, and a LL47 sign illustrates its future development. On view, LL47 signs commissioned to artists, designers, and architects depict alternative visions for active construction sites throughout New York City, offering a space of reflection and a critique of current development practices and the architectures that build them. A photographic survey of works in progress throughout the city, including those depicted in the adjacent LL47 signs, portray a new naturalized green landscape, inviting us to think about the city that is growing with our times.
If you are interested in contributing your ideas and alterantives, you can use the LL47 sign template on the exhibition newsprint or download the template at www.storefrontnews.org/programming/work-in-progress.
Submissions can be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org. Contributors can also tag their photos with #workinprogress and @storefrontnyc to submit.
