Showcase – Factory-made housing: a solution for London?

NLA are inviting submissions of live housing projects, products, and prototypes employing innovative or new manufacturing processes in their construction and delivery. This call out forms part of “Factory-made Housing: a solution for London?” – a major NLA Research Paper examining the design, construction and delivery of factory-made homes, investigating the innovative methods and systems that are reshaping how we deliver homes in the capital.
Sommer Pavilion 2018
Register/Submit Deadline: Friday, Jul 13, 2018
The competition is launched by the Cascais City Hall and assessed by the South Regional Section of the Architects Association (OASRS). The goal is to select one idea for an ephemeral architectural intervention at Jardim da Parada, beside Casa Sommer, in the center of Cascais.
The Beach Cinema
Register/Submit Deadline: Friday, Jul 20, 2018
The Beach Cinema competition is open to architects, architecture students, recent graduates, and associated disciplines from around the world. CYSOA is looking to continue investigating the coastline of Geroskipou over the next year. The winning design will be constructed on Geroskipou Beach in consultation with the local municipality.
Architecture Essay Competition - What is Affordable Housing?

In the search for solutions to the global housing crisis, Bee Breeders are calling for essay submissions to explore the problem further. Winning entries will be included in the first issue of their print publication ARCHHIVE, which will focus on affordable housing. Submissions can be historical, present, or prospective.
Spring 2020 Call for Exhibition Proposals at BSA Space

BSA Space, Boston’s only center for architecture and design, seeks curatorial proposals for its Spring and Summer 2020 exhibition seasons:
The spring 2020 exhibition will focus on measuring environmental sustainability in ways that move beyond the abstract. The deadline for submissions is Friday, July 31, 2018.
The summer 2020 exhibition will focus on infrastructure—its impact on the day-to-day lives of urban dwellers and its role in creating an architecturally vibrant city and region. The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, October 31, 2018.
