BEACON - Rethinking Public spaces through light

The design challenge is to re-interpret a campfire at an urban level that has the ability to bring people together through a fresher experiences of a public space at night. In designing their submissions, participants are asked to consider questions including: How can our public spaces fight back, with more vibrant experiences in the night? Can there be new safer forms of nightlife where people can exchange experiences/engage in performances? Can light be used creatively to extract newer forms of experiences through these public spaces?
Daily Coffee News Design Showcase

In our ongoing pursuit to promote the consumption of specialty coffee and help advance a more sustainable industry, we proudly announce the Daily Coffee News Design Showcase, in which we will shine a light on the vanguard of coffee facility design. We’ll be enlisting a panel of qualified architects and interior designers to help us refine a collection of living, breathing coffee roasting and retail facilities from all over the globe.
House Challenge 2019 - Desert House

This year's competition focuses on the Desert House, an extraordinary architectural type with creative design methods to adjust the demands of a house to a specific site environment. Entrants are challenged to conceive a new and original concept for temporary house in the desert, however not strictly limited to the style of 'residence'.
