Early birds registrations are still open to join "Wedding Oasis", an architectural competition launched by YAC - Young Architects Competitions - in cooperation with Corradi s.r.l.
An Etruscan fortress overlooking a charming view on the flourishing Umbrian countryside, in Central Italy, is nowadays a beautiful and unique frame of fabulous wedding ceremonies. It is the Castello di Rosciano (Rosciano Castle) that hosts every year a hundred couples promising love and tenderness within its historic walls and romantic spaces. This remarkable site didn’t go unnoticed by the company Corradi — leader in the design of living outdoor. According to it, the castle is the ideal location for new architectural solutions with a deep relation with nature: extensions, pavilions and new architectural elements able to enhance such a sublime location as the perfect context for the most exclusive and splendid weddings.
Designers are invited to get involved in the most memorable day of the lives of thousands of couples and conceive architectural elements confirming the leadership of one of the most desirable fairy-tale locations in the world.
The jury panel is made up of renowned personalities in the architectural field like, among the others, Rik Nys for David Chipperfield Architects and Will Alsop for ALL Design.
A total of € 20,000 in cash prize will be awarded. The winner will receive € 8,000, the second prize € 4,000, the third prize € 2,000 and the 6 Gold Honorable Mentions € 1,000 each. In addition, 10 projects will be rewarded with a Honorable Mention and 30 with a Finalist Mention.
