A Special Jury Award went to Christian Bruno for his short portrait of Swiss supergraphics pioneer Barbara Stauffacher Solomon, “Visions Not Previously Seen.” Mario Novas won in the short film category for this “Architecture on the Edge” cycle that investigates the incredible architecture of Chile.

The winners of the feature film category traced the development of modern industrial design using legendary Italian designers Olivetti as a lens. An additional Special Jury Award was given to David Serero for his biography of ready-to-wear icon Elie Tahari and the business of New York’s fashion world.

“Festivals like ours are being held all over the world — in Milan, Toronto, Vancouver, Los Angeles, New York, and Singapore — rapidly becoming a trend of their own. And finally Moscow has its own festival,” festival president Boris Khobod said in a statement. “I can now say with complete confidence that cinema is without a doubt the best medium for in-depth inspirational study of the wonderous art of design, fashion, and architecture.”
