By Bustler Editors|

Monday, Feb 23, 2009

With 174 entries submitted from 16 different countries, the competition grew this year by 30 percent compared to the year before.

Vincentz Network has once again hosted the student competition casting for new ideas in connection with the “Altenpflege+ProPflege 2009” (March 24 to 26) in Nuremberg, Germany for the sixth time. The jury awarded a purse totaling EUR 5,750 to 15 prize winners. The winners will be honored at the “lebensräume” special display on March 24, 2009, at 1 p.m. (Hall 3, Booth 411) and the award-winning products will also be on display there. The competition was planned and organized by iF International Forum Design GmbH in Hannover, Germany.

A total of 174 entries from 16 different nations focusing on the complex topic of “living.housing.working” for all generations were submitted in this year’s competition. Compared to last year, this translates as an increase of more than 30 percent. The jury members, Fritz Frenkler (f/p-design, Munich), Achim Nagel (Primus Immobilien AG, Cologne) and Prof. Wolfgang Sattler (Sattler & Partner – Designbüro, Schwäbisch-Gmünd), discussed and evaluated the entries on the basis of the criteria for universal design and assisted living and determined that this topic has finally also been “adopted” by the universities.
