You and Your Competitions

This is a call for your contribution in a study on independent competitions - a prevailing culture in the field of design. We would like to crowd-source thoughts, ideas and strategies, and will share the compiled results in the hope that they will help you work better.

What motivates you to enter for competitions? What are your tricks and everybody else's tricks? Are you happy about the current state of competitions, and how could it be improved?
