New London Neighbourhood Tour - Holborn

Discover this rich slice of London as it gears up for the changes that Crossrail will bring in 2018, offering a diverse neighborhood mix of retail, residential and workspace use.

Our Holborn walk starts from the new face-to-face Farringdon Station entrance anticipating Crossrail’s arrival. The effect is redefining a handful of so-called “laggard” linking neighbourhoods in the heart of London. From the Farringdon and Clerkenwell borders across the edge of Smithfield, Holborn to the Strand, the tour features stunningly re-activated sites emerging alongside fresh architectural expression in the learning/work/living/leisure mix now articulated across the metropolis. Along our walk, we consider contributions from architects Buckley Gray Yeoman, KPF, John Robertson Architects, Orms, O’Donnell + Tuomey and many more.
