RIBA announced the winners of their 2015 London Awards, which recognizes top-notch architectural projects based in the London capital region. Winners were recently celebrated at a festive evening ceremony in the National Theatre. While an honor, the London Awards are just the beginning. Regional winners will now be considered for the RIBA National Award. Then once the National winners are revealed next month, those winners will move on to compete for the coveted RIBA Stirling Prize for the UK's best building of the year.
Out of the shortlisted projects announced in March, 38 projects won awards. A lucky few also won London Special Awards, including the RIBA London Building of the Year Award.
