Out of 250 submissions, 12 architectural practices were selected to take part in the U.S. Pavilion exhibition for the 2016 Venice Architecture Biennale.
Titled "The Architectural Imagination" and curated by Cynthia Davidson and Monica Ponce de Leon, the exhibition will present new speculative architectural projects commissioned for specific sites in Detroit, Michigan. The projects, which will be displayed inside the pavilion during the Biennale, will also possess far-reaching applications for cities around the globe.
