We are pleased to announce that the 2nd Edition of the International IS ARCH Awards for Architecture students was opened the last 22nd of October, with the amount of € 6,000 for the winners.
The 22nd of October the 1st inscription period was opened and is going to remain opened until the 7th of January, the 2nd inscription period is going to be opened from the 8th of January until the 25th of March, and finally the 3rd inscription period is going to be opened from the 26th of March to the 22nd of April.
As you know the aim of the International IS ARCH Awards for Architecture students is to provide a platform for recognition and debate surrounding the architecture solutions students contribute within the framework of their university studies around the world.
On the first edition, prestigious architects on the panel of judges were involved like: Tomislav Dushanov (Herzog & De Meuron Associate), Ivan Harbour (Rogers Stirk Harbour + Partners), Benedetta Tagliabue, Koji Tsutsui and Fernando Marquez Cecilia, and on the second edition we have already agreed the collaboration with Rik Nys (senior director in David Chipperfield Architects), Carles Ferrater, Taba Rasti (Partner Foster + Partners), Sou Fujimoto, and Benedetta Tagliabue and Tomislav Dushanov (Herzog & De Meuron Associate) who repeat a second time.
More than 200 proposals submitted and the evaluation system which was divided between jury technical evaluation (60%) and general public (40%), awarded on the 1st Edition to Almudena Cano Piñeiro with "Urban Strategies to Regenerate Indian Public Space A case study of Pols in Ahmedabad" (http://bit.ly/isarch1), Ignacio de Teresa Fernández-Casas with "La cementera" (http://bit.ly/isarch2) and Javier Subirá Ruiz con "EISA Basel" (http://bit.ly/isarch3).
