Architecture & Design Writing Fellowship at Writers' Colony a

The Writers' Colony is pleased to offer the 2010-2011 Architecture & Design Writing Fellowship.  With an emphasis on the fields of American architecture, landscape architecture, crafts and furnishings, this Fellowship is designed to support qualified professionals and arts commentators.  The Fellowship is open to a range of architecture & design writing genre, criticism, history, regionalism, globalism, public art, museum practice, and biography; as well as to artists compiling a presentation on a body of work.

Fellowship entitles the recipient to four weeks free residency at the Writers' Colony at Dairy Hollow in beautiful Eureka Springs, Arkansas, along with a travel stipend.  Residents have private suites with writing space, private bath, wireless and/or cable internet, dinner prepared five nights a week and served in the community dining room, a fully stocked kitchen for breakfast, uninterrupted writing time and the camaraderie of other professional writers when you want it.

Early submission postmark deadline of October 1, 2010, with a nonrefundable $15 application fee.  All application materials except the letters of recommendation must be turned in.  Letters of recommendation must be postmarked by October 15, 2010.  Final submission postmark deadline is October 15, 2010, with a $35 nonrefundable application fee.
