Eligibility
Structures or buildings (or groups of either) of any size and any project type built or renovated/rehabilitated in Central Massachusetts by any architect anywhere in the world, or any project type built or renovated/rehabilitated built anywhere in the world if by an architect/firm that is currently a resident of Central Massachusetts are eligible. (Central Mass. is defined as Worcester county plus the following towns: Acton, Ashby, Ashland, Ayer, Bellingham, Boxborough, Brimfield, Framingham, Franklin, Groton, Holland, Holliston, Hopkinton, Hudson, Littleton, Marlborough, Maynard, Medway, Monson, Orange, Palmer, Pepperell, Shirley, Stow, Sudbury, Townsend, Wales, Ware, Westford, Wrentham. A complete list of towns is available on the AIA Central Massachusetts website – www.aiacm.org). In addition, any Central Massachusetts architect may submit projects built anywhere in the world.
- Projects must have been completed after May 1, 2002.
- There is a special interest in honoring residential and adaptive reuse/restoration/preservation projects.
- Any eligible architect or architecture firm may submit any number of eligible entries provided each is submitted separately with the appropriate fee.
- Work by this program’s jurors and their firms are not eligible.
