The MAD TRAVELING FELLOWSHIP was established to provide the opportunity for young architecture students in China to research some special aspect of architecture that requires international travel. For the architects, traveling is one of the lifelong studying methods. By discovering the power of history, culture and individuality in the space, we could find our own strength to get to know ourselves and to foster new ideas.
In 2009, The MAD TRAVELING FELLOWSHIP will select 5 students from the architecture schools in mainland China. According to their traveling plan, the round-trip ticket and 7-10 days’ accommodation expense will be provided.
ELIGIBILITY
Applications are accepted from students planning a 7-10 days of independent foreign travel outside China during the summer time of 2009.
Applicants must be either in their BA or MA program in the architecture schools in mainland China, except those who are expected to graduate by the summer of 2009.
TO APPLY
A 300-word proposal, stating your study interest, your objective for the trip and the relationship between them.
A portfolio of 1-2 previous design works in support of the proposal.
Send an A4-size pdf file less than 4 MB, covering the above information to [email protected] . Please note your name, date of birth, name of the school, grade you’re your contact information in the email.
DEADLINE
Applications must be sent by email before June 30th 2009. An auto-reply from [email protected] is the certification of application received.
The result of 2009 MAD TRAVEL FELLOWSHIP will be announced on July 10th, 2009.
