The mission of the Michael Kalil Endowment for Smart Design is twofold: to foster the understanding of the design intersections between nature and technology and to support a heightened sense of responsibility for increasing the sustainability of built environments.
One of the Three $5000 Fellowship Project Grants awarded annually is available for entry by design practitioners and scholars working outside of the Parsons New School of Design community:
The Scholar/Practitioner Grant supports the project of a current faculty member or group of faculty members from any New School division, or an outside scholar/scholar group, or a practitioner from within any design field.
