Peter Reyner Banham (SUNY-Buffalo, 1976-80) spent his time in Buffalo engaged in a scholarly project that took the form of historical research, hand-on engagement and seminar instruction that resulted in his landmark work on the imaginary of American industrial architecture in the work of early modernism. The Banham Fellowship is intended to support research that is in keeping with the spirit of experimental criticism embodied in that text. The fellowship is thus intended to integrate creative activity and research with the project of teaching.
Applications should be composed of a well-considered proposal for research/creative work, as well as a curriculum vita, portfolio of work, and names of three references.
Deadline: Applications must be received by March 24, 2011
The University at Buffalo is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer.
