A panel of publishers and editors will discuss the current state of and new trends in architectural publishing. Questions will include: What drives publishers in their choices – sales figures, architectural relevance, intellectual independence? What audience is intended – the profession, specialists, the general public? What role does the design of books play? Has the commodification of books gone too far? How have new media, print-on-demand, and self-publication changed traditional publishing? What role does architectural publishing play within architectural culture. Tickets are required for admission to League programs. Tickets are free for League members; $10 for non-members. Members may reserve a ticket by e-mailing: [email protected].
